Get Up and Eat

August 26, 2026

1 Kings 19:5-8 shows a startling divine response to a suicidal prophet: not a sermon or a rebuke, but bread, water, and sleep. God understood that a depleted body can't process spiritual truth, so He met the physical need first. The reminder here is that rest is not the opposite of faithfulness but its fuel—two meals and two naps carried Elijah forty days.

Wait, They Died?

August 26, 2026

Acts 5:1-5 drops two liars dead right in the middle of the greatest revival in history, because revival isn't just about more people—it's about a holy people. Their sin wasn't stinginess but pretending: wanting the reputation of total surrender without the reality, which is the same thing we do when we manage how spiritual we appear.

KIDS

More Than Just Your Group

August 26, 2026

Matthew 5:47 pokes at us a little: if you only say hi to your own group, what's so special about that? Everybody does that. Jesus wasn't telling you to ditch your friends—friends are a gift—He was telling you to open the circle. Think how it feels to be the new kid nobody saved a seat for, feeling invisible at lunch. Now imagine you're the one who changes that with "want to sit with us?" Jesus was always noticing the people everyone else ignored. Keep your friends close, but keep your eyes open for the kid on the outside.
