James 5:19-20 names the stakes without softening them: death, and a multitude of sins covered. Every awkward conversation and inconvenient reach toward a wandering friend matters on an eternal scale. At salvation something transfers — sin moves onto Christ and his righteousness moves onto us, complete and permanent. The seconds are limited, and the question is whether we will use the time we have.

Acts 2:41-43 moves straight from the mountaintop—3,000 people saved in a day—to verse 42, where those same people went home and rearranged their ordinary weeks around Jesus. As summer ends, the question isn't what you felt but who you're becoming, because your best moment with God was never the finish line. It was the starting line.
