New Hire or Transfer Guide

Hiring or Transferring of Employee's Needs “Approval” Before Beginning.

Step 1 - Fill out the online New Hire-Transfer Form. Once the form has been submitted, the Business Office will follow up with you on the status of your request. If approved, please feel free to move forward to the next step.

Step 2 - Please send the potential candidate the follow two links to fill out.

  1. Culture Index Survey
  2. Using the following link, please insert your applicants name and email address to send in the application.

Step 3 - Once you are ready to offer the candidate the position officially, please contact Kristina Jackson in the Business Office and let her know the position can be offered to the applicant. The Business Office will then offer the candidate the position by sending them an official offer packet. Once the candidate signs and returns the offer, the Business Office will move to Step 4.

Step 4 - The employee can begin their first day when the candidate completes the New Hire Packet in full and their background check is approved. The Business Office will contact you promptly once everything is confirmed and a start date can be established.

PLEASE NOTE: After receiving the start date you can fill out the following form that will help assist IT with preparing Technology for the new staff member.

Step 5 - After receiving the start date, please fill out the Employee Change Form that will assist IT with preparing technology for the new staff member.

Employee Release Or Resignation Guide

Releasing Or Working With An Employee Who Is Resigning Needs “Approval” Before Beginning The Process.

Step 1 - Fill out the online Employee Release or Resignation Form. Once the form has been submitted, the Business Office will follow up with you on the status of the employee. Once you hear back from the Business Office please move to the next step.

Step 2 - Take the exit paperwork provided by the Business Office and present the release or resignation details to the employee and acquire signature on all forms. The supervisor needs to lead this meeting and a second staff member needs to be present. Once this is complete please move forward to the next step.

Step 3 - On the same day the exit paperwork is presented please prepare an opportunity in a private setting for the person to gather their personal items from their desk. Before the person departs please ensure you have collected all church related items such as computers, phone, keys and files. The supervisor needs to be present for this time and a member of security as well. When all church property has been collected please have security escort them from of the building.

Step 4 - After the person exits the building immediately complete the online Employee Change Form. This is an important part of the process as it informs the Business Office of the persons last date for payroll and benefits purposes. If this form is not submitted the person will continue to be paid and receive benefits. This form will also inform Security and IT so they can eliminate all technology and building access.
