John 16:33 reminds us that the disciples hit a storm while doing exactly what Jesus told them to do, so hard times are not always proof we took a wrong turn. Jesus never promised calm water, but He did promise He has overcome the world, and that frees us to keep obeying Him when the path gets uncomfortable.

Isaiah 38:2-5 teaches us through Hezekiah that we can bring our fears, sadness, and tears to God, knowing He hears our prayers and cares deeply about what we're going through. Even when God doesn't answer exactly as we hope, we can trust that He sees every tear, stays close to us, and never leaves us to face our struggles alone.
