Who Am I?
September 3, 2026
Exodus 3:11-12 records Moses' first objection, and it isn't about strategy or logistics but identity. "Who am I?" is the question insecurity always asks. God doesn't answer with a pep talk or a list of qualifications; he answers with four words, I will be with you. His presence is the credential, and the confirming sign comes after the obedience rather than before it.

A Reason to Pray
September 3, 2026
Acts 1:4-5 has Jesus guarantee the Holy Spirit is coming—no maybe, no strings—and then the disciples pray constantly for ten days anyway, for the same reason you get your shoes on when your ride texts fifteen minutes. God's promise isn't an excuse not to pray but the very reason to; "if it's meant to happen it will happen" sounds humble but it's just a way of staying on the couch. Prayer was never about informing God—it's agreeing out loud with what He already said He'd do.

When My Mind Won't Settle
September 3, 2026
Psalm 139:23-24 meets those nights when your brain won't turn off and your worried thoughts run laps. Even David had them—he called them anxious thoughts—and instead of hiding them from God, he did the opposite: "Search me. Come into them with me." You don't have to fix your feelings before you come to God; you just come, and He sits with you in them like a good friend, then gently leads you toward peace.
