Every word we speak is either a brick or a wrecking ball, and even the absence of kindness does damage. The invitation is to steward our words, starting with simple phrases like please, thank you, and I'm proud of you.

Jesus never promised calm water, but He did promise He has overcome the world, and that frees us to keep obeying Him when the path gets uncomfortable.
