Holy Fear

September 12, 2026

Acts 5:11 marks the first time Luke calls the believers a church, and it happens the moment holy fear seizes them. We've traded reverence for casual familiarity, treating God like a life coach rather than the holy One whose magnitude Isaiah could barely survive. Like a small wave pulled by a moon 238,000 miles away, God's little mercies point to a vastness we rarely stop to consider. The church was born in awe.

He Did It at Night

September 12, 2026

Judges 6:25-27 gives Gideon a smaller job that's harder than fighting an army: tear down the altar in his own father's yard—the problem he was about to fight nationally was already sitting in his backyard, and everyone had gotten used to walking past it. He obeys, but scared, at night so nobody sees—and God doesn't rebuke him, his Spirit comes right after. Courage isn't a mood you wait for; doing the right thing scared still counts fully. So what has God already put his finger on in your own house that you keep walking past?

They Follow Me

September 12, 2026

John 10:27 pulls the whole week together in one short sentence with three parts: his sheep listen, he knows them, and they follow. Listening is something you choose—getting quiet, opening the Bible; being known is all him, since he knew you completely before you ever listened; and following means actually going where he leads, which is always worth it because a good shepherd only leads to the very best places.
