You Were Always On My Mind

John 17:20, “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.”

Think

When life takes a swing at us, we sometimes feel like God has become distant. Do you feel like God is far away? Do you feel like He’s not listening? The great news is that God is exactly where you left Him — and He wants to be close to you.

Today’s verse reminds us that Jesus prayed for us even in the midst of being betrayed. The Bible says that, even today, He continues to appeal on our behalf!  We are truly on His mind 24/7, 365!

Jesus’ prayer is for us to be unified with Him, and His love for us does not depend on our challenges. Jesus already gave His life so that He could be with us today, tomorrow, and forever!

God desires a continual relationship with you 365 days a year. No matter what is surrounding you, surround yourself with God because He wants to surround Himself with you!

Act

Heavenly Father, I want to be unified with You in my thoughts, desires, and decisions. Draw me near to You because I want to stay close. Shut out distractions and allow my focus to be on You.

Pray

Commit to being in God’s Word and spend time with Him daily. Set a reminder daily to spend time with your Heavenly Father and grow unified with Him!
