Straight Path
Read:
Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Think:
Today's world has various online methods to find a safe route. We have google maps, Waze, and Apple Maps. These way-finding apps are all navigation systems for directing our paths. They can give us quick time savers; help us find gas stations; and enable us to locate wrecks, share traffic snares, and spot potential delays. Modern directions and maps are phenomenal; we no longer have to rely on large paper maps that have to be unfolded, flipped, and turned to pinpoint our destination.
God directs our lives better than modern apps. He sees from beginning to end. Our Creator can be trusted. Oswald Chambers said, "If we are devoted to Christ, we have nothing to do with what we encounter, whether it is just or unjust. Jesus says, 'Continue steadily on with what I have told you to do, and I will guard your life.'" You can trust him to show you the way.
Apply:
The more we trust God, the more he directs our steps. It is a challenge today. Give Jesus your day and your path.
Pray:
God, I give you my agenda. I desire to please you, so I give you my wants and wishes. Amen.
