More Than Conquerors
December 2, 2020
Read
Romans 8:37, "...In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Think
If you are a Christ-follower, you are fighting from victory, not for it, because Jesus already secured the ultimate victory on the cross. However, amid conflict, it’s easy to forget this important truth. We sometimes feel like we are fighting alone, trying to prove ourselves and overcome on our own. It’s enough to make us give up the fight! The fact is, we are "more than conquerors." We don’t need to “win” this fight to be a winner. We’ve already been declared a winner! With God's immense power, abounding love, and the guidance of His Word, we are set up to win as singles, as couples, as parents, and even as grandparents. In today's wheels-off culture, though, we assuredly face many relational obstacles, conflicts, and challenges. So, we must remember that God is for us. But, also, we must be willing to fight for that which we hold most near and dear to our hearts – our families. Therefore, prepare yourself for battle by spending time on your knees in prayer, arming yourself with biblical truth, and aligning your commitments with God’s priorities. Here's the phrase that pays: The ultimate fight is the family because fighting for the family is the ultimate.

Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for setting families up to win. I praise You for sending Jesus to conquer death, that I may be "more than a conqueror" through Him. Thank You for the truth and guidance of Your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen.
