Daily Reading & Prayer

Grand Opening

January 26, 2020

Read

Malachi 3:10, “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’”Ephesians 1:18, “Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance.”

Think

In Matthew 6, Jesus gives us a “when, when, when” situation: when we fast, when we pray, and when we give. Notice that Jesus didn’t say, “If,” He said, “When!” So, as Christ-followers, when we seek to obey these commands and align with God's will, we win!In Malachi 3:10, God directly links our obedience in giving to blessing. In fact, it’s the only time in the Bible that He says, “Test Me.” It’s a step of faith. And that is exactly the step we’re taking in Frisco! But, we wouldn’t be celebrating the grand opening of our brand-new campus without the generosity of so many dedicated people willing to build God’s house and extend the reach of the local church. At Fellowship Church, we are intentional about reaching lost people, sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and connecting as believers. We want families, marriages, singles, students, and kids to experience God’s best! That's why we are so excited about all God wants to do in Frisco. So, today, let’s celebrate this blessing that so many have prayed, fasted, and given to make happen. The best is yet to come!

Act

Today, as you arrive at church, look around and give thanks for everything you see, because it is the direct result of a “when, when, when” situation.

Pray

Dear Lord, I’m so grateful for all You are doing in and through the local church. Thank You for providing a place that brings hope to the masses and life-change to each individual. May many eyes be opened and hearts forever changed this weekend at Fellowship Church. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
