Think
The elephant is arguably the most powerful creature to walk the earth. However, if an elephant is tethered to a chain, it won't break away from it. Even though it could easily break free, it's convinced that it can’t, due to the familiar tug of the binding on its leg from when it was younger and weaker. It doesn’t realize it’s choosing to remain captive. Many of us are like that elephant. However, it’s not a chain that binds us. We are unknowingly tethered to the enemy’s “TLC” (tender, loving care NOT included). He entices us with the Temptation of a counterfeit life and the Lies of happiness that always fade once we’ve actively sinned. It’s then that the chains of Condemnation are locked as he continues to convince us that we are now not worthy of being useful to God. However, nothing could be farther from the truth!God didn’t create us to be tethered to the enemy’s Temptation, Lies, and Condemnation. Instead, He’s given us the strength, power, and motivation through Christ to break free — a loving personal relationship with our Lord and Savior.Jesus is the key that unlocks the chains that bind us. Exercise the power He has given you. Instead of temptation, tether yourself to God’s Truth. Instead of lies, be Led by God's Spirit. Instead of condemnation, seek God's Compassion, forgiveness, and grace. Because when you do, you’ll experience true next-level living packed with purpose and outrageous, contagious joy!
Act
Galatians 5:1 serves as a great reminder. Memorize the verse below to help you remain free of the from the enemy’s chains of condemnation:“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Pray
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the freedom that only You can give. For far too long, I’ve fallen for the enemy’s temptation, lies, and condemnation. I choose today to break free of those chains and walk in Your light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
