Peace Isn't Found in Perfect Schedules
Back-to-school season can feel like a sprint.
Supplies. Schedules. Forms. Drop-offs. Pick-ups.
And just like that—your relaxed summer pace is gone.
The pressure builds fast.
But Joshua 1:9 reminds us:
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
That includes the school year.
You don’t have to enter this season overwhelmed.
You can enter it with peace.
Pastor Ed says it like this: “Peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it’s found in trusting God in the middle of them.”
Here’s how to start the school year without the stress:
- Prepare Early, Not Perfectly: You don’t have to get everything right. Just get a few key things ready—bedtimes, mornings, basic routines.
- Set the Emotional Tone: Your kids will take cues from you. If you’re anxious, they’ll feel it. If you’re calm, they’ll follow it.
- Pray Over the School Year: Don’t just organize—spiritualize. Invite God into this season from the start.
Parent Application:
👉 During this Back-To-School season, pray this over your child:
“Father, thank You for going before my child today. Fill their heart with Your peace, their mind with Your wisdom, and their spirit with courage. Help them walk with confidence, knowing You are with them wherever they go. Protect them, guide their decisions, surround them with godly friendships, and let them be a light to everyone they encounter. And when challenges come, remind them that Your presence is greater than their fears. We trust this school year to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
A few moments of prayer can shape the tone of an entire day. Peace doesn’t come from having every detail under control—it comes from trusting the One who is.
Simple prayer. Powerful impact.
Because peace starts with perspective.
