Parenting Without Burning Out: Where to Find Rest

If you're parenting preschoolers, you're tired. Not "a little tired" — next-level, constant, no-off-switch kind of tired. The questions. The energy. The repetition. The mess. It's nonstop. And in this season, burnout isn't just a possibility — it's a reality if you're not careful.

Jesus said, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Not more pressure. Rest. We move at such a fast pace that we rarely stop long enough to let God refuel us — and if you're empty, you can't pour into your kids. Here's how to fight burnout.

Lower the Pressure

Everything doesn't have to be perfect. Great parenting is about presence, not performance.

Take Small Moments to Recharge

You may not get a day off, but you can take a minute. Pray in the car. Breathe during nap time. Reset in small ways.

Let God Fill You Up

You don't have to do this on your own. God meets you right in the middle of the chaos.

Today, take two minutes alone with God and pray, "God, fill me up so I can pour into my kids." Short, simple, powerful — because you can't give what you don't have.
