Finish the School Year Strong: Ending with Intention
By the end of the school year, everyone feels it. The fatigue. The lack of motivation. The countdown mentality. You're ready for summer. Your kids are ready for summer. Everyone is just trying to get through.
But Scripture reminds us: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). In other words, don't coast across the finish line. Finish strong — because how you finish shapes what your kids carry forward. Here's how to end the year with purpose.
Celebrate Growth, Not Just Results
Don't just focus on grades — focus on effort, character, and progress. Call out what God has done in them this year.
Speak Life Into the Next Season
Start talking about summer with purpose. "What do we want this summer to feel like as a family?"
Stay Engaged Until the End
Don't mentally check out early. These last moments still matter.
This week, tell your child, "I'm proud of how you've grown this year." Be specific. Be intentional. Because your words help define how they see themselves.
