The Turn

James 5:19-20 describes turning someone from the error of their way, but that turning happens through proximity rather than pressure. Jesus went to people rather than waiting for them; Philip climbed into the chariot instead of shouting from the roadside. The invitation is to stop rehearsing what to say and start planning how to be present, trusting God to do the actual turning.

Acts 2:41-43 moves straight from the mountaintop—3,000 people saved in a day—to verse 42, where those same people went home and rearranged their ordinary weeks around Jesus. As summer ends, the question isn't what you felt but who you're becoming, because your best moment with God was never the finish line. It was the starting line.
