The God-Gap
October 22, 2026
John 14:27 offers a peace that doesn't come the way the world gives it. We can read every outward gauge as full while the tank underneath runs on fumes, because the world's peace depends on circumstances. The gap we feel is a space only God can fill, and the invitation is to check which gauge we're trusting and let Jesus reconnect the one wire that matters.

Isaiah 53:3-6 reveals God's plan of salvation through Jesus, who willingly suffered and took the punishment for our sins so we could experience forgiveness, healing, and peace with God. Knowing that God planned our rescue long before we were born, we can trust His faithful love, receive His grace, and live with gratitude for the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Just a Handful
October 22, 2026
1 Kings 17:10-12 teaches us that God sees our needs, even when we feel like we have almost nothing left, just as He saw the widow and her son. When we feel empty, worried, or unsure how things will work out, we can bring God whatever little we have and trust Him to care for us.

Go Slow
Genesis 29:20 says Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they felt like only a few days because of his love for her. In a culture that runs on speed, Jacob models a patience rooted in confidence rather than doubt. Patience isn't passive; it's serving faithfully while the process reveals the truth, and the invitation is to slow down the decision we're most tempted to rush and trust God's timing.

Ready With a Reason
1 Peter 3:13-16 teaches us to build our faith on a genuine relationship with Jesus and be prepared to explain the reasons for our hope with gentleness and respect. Instead of fearing difficult questions or feeling pressured to have every answer, we can grow in our understanding of what we believe and share our faith with honesty, confidence, and love.

Time to Move
Exodus 14:15-16 teaches us that trusting God means knowing when to be still and when to take a brave step forward, even when the path seems impossible. We can listen for His direction and obey with courage, knowing that God goes with us and makes a way where we cannot see one.

What You Can’t See
Proverbs 12:15 says the way of fools seems right to them, which is exactly what makes blind spots so dangerous. We fixate on one attractive feature, like staring at a hood ornament while missing the whole car, and lose perspective on everything else. The wise listen to advice because others can see what we can't, and the call is to give trusted voices permission to tell us what we don't want to hear.

Hold Still
Exodus 14:13-14 teaches us that when we feel afraid or overwhelmed, we do not have to figure everything out or fight every battle on our own because God is with us. We can be still, stop worrying, and trust Him to take care of what we cannot, remembering that God’s got it.

Bad Connections
Proverbs 13:20 states a law, not a suggestion: walk with the wise and become wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. Just as a car's maintenance records reveal its history, the people in our inner circle reveal our values and our direction. Nobody stays neutral, and the invitation is to take an honest look at who we walk with and invest intentionally in friendships marked by wisdom and faithfulness.

Now We Have Heard for Ourselves
John 4:39-42 teaches us that our role is not to make someone believe, but simply to introduce them to Jesus by sharing what He has done in our lives. We can faithfully tell our story and invite others to come and see, trusting Jesus to speak to them for Himself.

Nowhere to Go
Exodus 14:9-10 teaches us that even when we feel scared, trapped, or unsure what to do, God is never stuck and always knows the way forward. When we cannot see a way out, we can turn to God in prayer and trust Him to help us through.

The Check Engine Light
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 warns that bad company corrupts good character, and the word "misled" shows how quietly that erosion happens. Every relationship has a check engine light that points to what is happening under the hood, and most of us see it but would rather turn up the radio. Integrity means wholeness, and the call is to pay attention to the warning lights in our relationships and in ourselves before the engine seizes.

She Left Her Water Jar
John 4:28-30 teaches us that we do not need all the answers to point others toward Jesus; we can simply share what He has done in our lives and invite them to come and see. Like the Samaritan woman, God can even use the parts of our story we once wanted to hide to help others find Him.
