1 Thessalonians 5:12-282 Thessalonians 1:1-3:18Acts 18:4-231 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
There are risks involved when driving a car with poor alignment. Ignoring the initial signs can lead to tire blow-outs, ineffective braking, and problematic steering. The same is true in life. When we ignore our alignment with God, our lives begin to malfunction. Today’s action-packed verse helps us to check that alignment:
- Life isn’t always easy, but we can rejoice always if we trust that the Lord is in control.
- It may sound odd, but we can pray without ceasing by maintaining an attitude of humility and dependence on God as we move through each day.
- We don’t want to live in denial, but we can give thanks in all circumstances if we believe that God works through all things for our good and His glory.
How is your alignment? Are you living out God’s will by living out this verse? If so, rejoice that God — the ultimate in power steering — is always in control and give thanks!
Dear Heavenly Father, Your Word says, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” I rejoice in Your goodness as I stand firm in Your strength and live out Your will. Thank You for the following ten things____. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
