The Special Needs Ministry exists to make a way for people with disabilities to participate as fully as possible in the programs of Fellowship Church.
In the Side-By-Side ministry, trained volunteers are partnered with children with disabilities ages birth–6th grade while they participate in their age-appropriate worship service. Our goal is to identify a specific volunteer to connect with your child in order to foster and build a consistent and long-term relationship. In order to facilitate that relationship, being a part of Side-By-Side involves a commitment from the parents to attend consistently at a specific service time.
To get your child connected in the Side-By-Side ministry, contact the Special Needs Ministry via email or call 972-471-6693.
This class is designed for students with disabilities in 6th grade–age 25. Fellowship of Friends meets during the 10:00am Sunday service, upstairs in the Children’s Building. In this class, Bible stories and lessons are presented in developmentally appropriate ways which help students understand and apply Biblical truths to their daily lives.
Fellowship of Friends is a wonderful place where students connect with each other and with the volunteers. Students also have the opportunity to find a place to serve within the class. As students and young people experience the ways they can be more involved in the local church, they are blessed and so is the church.
