In their latest book “Sexperiment,” Ed Young and Lisa Young tackle a subject that is thought a lot about, but that we don’t often think deeply enough about—sex. Specifically, this book looks at the power and purpose of sex within the context of marriage. Through this book, readers discover the blessing and design of sex done God’s way. Because when sex is thought about the right way, couples can discover how to do it the right.
The latest in the gay marriage movement is focused on Chick-Fil-A CEO Truett Cathy’s defense of traditional marriage and the mayor of Chicago’s attempted ban of the popular restaurant in his city. Upon hearing the news of this story, Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church applauded Cathy’s strong stance. The best-selling author of Sexperiment: 7 Days to Lasting Intimacy pointed to Mr. Cathy’s statement as something that needs to be heard in today’s relativistic world.
Pastor Ed Young appeared on Fox News this past Sunday morning to offer words of condolence and purpose as he spoke with a host about the tragic mass shooting at a Colorado movie theatre last Friday. Ed Young opened the interview with the below response when asked how we [human population] can make sense of this tragedy:
“We live in a fallen world; bad things happen to good people and innocent people-pain is hard to grapple with,” explains Ed Young.
The next generation is talked about as one of the most important aspects of our society. It’s this generation who is seen as responsible for the cleanliness and healthiness of our planet, to find a cure for devastating diseases, and to build and enhance our future. It is this group that is the focus of Ed Young and Fellowship Church, who believe that to enlighten and invest in this generation, can change everything.
One major piece of Fellowship Church that plays a part in changing the lives of students and children is Allaso Ranch. The state-of-the art facility is not only a place of rest and relaxation, it is also a place that equips students with purpose and momentum.
Elevate children’s curriculum was used at an orphanage in Haiti in April, 2012 — the first time the creative program has been translated into French. C3 Global, a relational network of pastors lead by Pastor Ed Young, approached Elevate after its trip to support several orphanages damaged during the Haiti earthquake in 2010. C3 Global set an objective to not just feed stomachs, but to feed souls and change lives long-term through teaching leadership skills to several orphanages it supports in Haiti. The need for a children’s curriculum in the native French language opened the door to Elevate offering this translation.
As part of supporting the students in the communities surrounding its five locations, Fellowship Church is launching a “back to school” missions endeavor where they will be accepting backpacks and school supplies through the month of July. Through giving of resources or time, there are plenty of opportunities to reach into local areas and help children have a successful back to school experience. Ed Young hopes this event will serve as a catalyst to many families as the first step to becoming part of the plan that God has for their lives.
Newly launched, EdYoung.com features a layout that highlights past messages and series, and also makes it easier to connect with the Dallas located pastor. The new homepage is bright and engaging, with an attention grabbing picture of Ed Young. Added at the top of the homepage are new social media plug-ins, which make it simple to keep up to date with Ed Young through several social media avenues that he’s very active on.
This weekend, Fellowship Creative is taking over Fellowship Church. All campuses are uniting at the Grapevine location for a night of connecting, community, and a little friendly competition. The goal of this night and Fellowship Creative as a whole is for anyone passionate about using their gifts and talents to communicate Christ’s love and plan for the world to get involved.
Elevate, Fellowship Church’s children’s leadership curriculum, is excited to announce that they are providing Eve Senyonga from Christian Life Ministries tools and curriculum to support children’s character training in a Ugandan orphanage this summer. As the country’s economy slows and HIV rates rise, the need for future leaders is great. According to UNICEF statistics, the percentage of children who attend primary school drops from an average of 82% of the population to 17% attendance in secondary school. Christian Life Ministries wants to change that.
Ed Young’s Fellowship Church is hosting a giant 4th of July event this Independence Day weekend. As part of this outdoor, family-friendly event, Ed Young will be interviewing Chris Kyle, decorated military hero and author of The New York Times Best Selling Book American Sniper.
Pastor Young says, “As a nation, we enjoy some of the most amazing freedoms and opportunities. Those opportunities and that freedom have been paid for by so many men and women. This weekend, we’re welcoming one of the greatest American military heroes to share his experience. And we’re going to see from a unique perspective what that freedom means and the responsibilities we have as a result.”
Ed Young and Fellowship Church are known for big events, and this 4th of July is no exception. As part of this Independence Day weekend event, called Freedom Experience, Ed Young will be interviewing Chief Chris Kyle, decorated military hero and author of the New York Times Best Seller American Sniper.
With a documented 160 kills, Chief Chris Kyle is the deadliest sniper in American history. Chief Kyle, a Navy SEAL and the recipient of five Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars, served four combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom and elsewhere. While serving in Iraq, he earned the nickname “Al-Shaitan Ramad” (translated The Devil of Ramadi) from insurgents, but among his Navy SEAL team, he is known as “The Legend.”
Ed Young and Fellowship Church are lighting up the Grapevine, TX sky this 4th of July weekend. The church is known for going all out on holidays, and Independence Day is no exception. As an added bonus to the fireworks show and outdoor family event, Ed Young will be interviewing Chris Kyle, decorated military hero and author of the new book American Sniper.
Fellowship Church has launched its summer children’s evening event called Adventure Week. The theme for this year’s Adventure Week is Adventure Islands. Kids visit an island every evening as they follow the story of several main characters. The objective is to help kids learn age appropriate leadership lessons such as integrity, honesty, and being a good friend. All lessons turn back to the main objective of Fellowship Church’s children’s ministry, which is to turn good kids into great leaders.

This weekend, the pastor is beginning a series entitled “Cool Aid,” where he will address topics such as gay marriage, vulgarity in today’s world, and bullying.
This weekend Pastor Ed Young and Fellowship Church will host a dog friendly event as part of Young’s newest teaching series “Wild.” Pet owners are encouraged to bring their canine companions to church for pet-friendly activities, ranging from grooming and training exercises to games for the congregation’s children. A main focus of the event will be pet adoptions. Organizations and agencies will be on location at all five of Fellowship Church’s campuses for attendees to have an opportunity to take home a new family member.
For some pastors, it is a constant struggle to create sermon illustrations that will keep members involved and engaged. For Dallas pastor Ed Young, creative and compelling illustrations are a big part of his church ministry. Attendees at his Fellowship Church, in the Grapevine area, recently witnessed this first-hand when Ed Young introduced his new sermon series, simple called “Wild,” by bringing live animals with him on stage—among them a lamb and a lion. According to Ed Young and the officials at his church, these animals served as sermon illustrations that were at once evocative and honorable.

Fellowship Church’s downtown Dallas campus is hosting an event, A Night of Hope for Haiti, Friday, August 5. All proceeds from the $5.00 cover charge will go towards benefiting the 25 orphanages in Haiti that Fellowship Church sponsors through their organization Hope4Haiti. Daily nutrition, bottled water, and education are just a few things donations will go towards funding.
Fellowship Church is known for kicking off the fall season with series that take people places they have never been. This fall is no different, as Ed Young literally takes the church into deep, shark-infested water.
As part of Fellowship Church’s Love Your Neighbor missions effort, starting Sunday, July 10, school supplies can be donated at any of Fellowship Church’s five locations. The Downtown Dallas and Grapevine locations are also collecting backpacks in addition to school supplies. The series is a yearly event, widely popular among church members and attendees.
