Security Manager Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the Security Manager are to carry out the vision of Fellowship Church while building a team dedicated to the protection of the church.  The Security Manager is responsible for:

  • Assist the Security Director in the daily operation of the security ministry. 
  • Review and update policies and procedures regarding security and safety issues for all campuses. 
  • Act as an additional point of contact for staff, members, and guest as needed. 
  • Program and maintain camera systems, access control systems, burglar alarm, and fire systems for all campuses. 
  • Primary liaison with vendors if outside repairs or purchases are needed. 
  • Obtain and keep a current “Qualified Company Managers License” issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Fellowship Church security company to maintain compliance with state laws and regulations. 
  • Be the main point of contact with the Department of Public Safety regarding all licensing of new and current officers, volunteer PPO officers, regulatory compliance issues, and company licensing for both the Fellowship Church Security Company and the Fellowship Church training school. 
  • He will obtain and keep current level 3 and level 4 security licenses and perform duties as a Personal Protection Officer on a continual basis. 
  • Assist in the development of a Church Security Program.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and administrating security volunteers.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work with Volunteer Security Team on overall training and development (Range Days, Active Shooter, Medical Response, Verbal Judo, OODA Loop and more).
  • Schedule Law Enforcement Officers across all Fellowship Campuses.
  • Schedule Personal Protection Officers.
  • Inspect and Confirm Uniformed Officer Schedule and Hours.
  • Complete PO submissions for approval according to approved plans and budget.
  • Preform Background Checks and NSOR.
  • Update Planning Center for all volunteers who require checks.
  • Work with Fellowship Facilities teams maintaining the integrity of all doors.
  • Lead Daytime Uniformed Officer.

Weekly Hours

  • Sunday 7:00am-3:00pm
  • Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm
  • All holiday events, special events, and conferences
